Again: all GenAI must be fired directly into the sun
"...The top 1% of income-earnersβhighly paid businesspeople, lawyers, doctors and othersβdo indeed pay the most income tax.
But this says nothing about the top 1% of wealth-holders, who can arrange their affairs to legally pay nothing..."

Always. Follow. The money. Decisions always make sense if you realize who benefits.
Humanity would be best served by loading these cryptocurrencies, prediction markets, and zero revenue/billion dollar valuation vaporware companies into a rocket aimed directly at the sun.
For years on my old blog I published the names of servicemembers who died in Iraq & Afghanistan. No other outlets were.
These are the first 4 Americans to die in the Iran War.
Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35
Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42
Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39
Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20

"What are we holding onto, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."
Words matter. The assault on our state continues
"...He is survived by his loyal and faithful wife, Georgia, an impudent son Christopher, beautiful and gracious daughter-in-law Katie, and three friends..."
Eighteen years since Dad died is both a lifetime and the blink of an eye. Your memory is a blessing, Dad. Love you.

It's always been about the richest getting richer
This is precisely what polling places were like for part of the 19th century.
People often traveled long distances by horse to vote. It was a big deal when folks got together this way.
Happy Valentine's Day, world. Keep being a good neighbor.

Fuck. All. Of. This.
The people, in fact, do have the power.
This. All of this.
Age verification? I can't tell you how many times I have died of dysentery.
1. Stop calling it law enforcement. It's ethnic cleansing
2. Stop the paid agitator nonsense. You couldn't pay us enough money to take care of our neighbors. Not only are we happy to do it for free, everyone is contributing their own time, talent, and treasure to keep us safe.
@governorwalz.mn.gov bring back the daily briefings
As news coverage ebbs but reports from the streets indicate Operation Metro Surge is still surging, Iβm surprised thereβs not some kind of official report/press conference every day, like we used to get during Covid. Just the best update they have on what happened today? I think I am being naive.
Also - pace. It's both a marathon and a lot of sprinting. But more important is to realize that it's a relay - you rely on your neighbor to take the baton from you when you're spent. And then when you're ready you make yourself available to take it again from someone else.
In addition to these steps I'd add: give yourself grace and space to adapt as the situation changes. Your lane today might not be your lane tomorrow or next week. That's ok.
In my professional life, I've long advocated for the inherent power of self-organizing teams. Never has that been affirmed more than in the collective action of the Twin Cities.
