Recently I noticed my favorite local bookstore is selling a baseball cap that says I WOULD PREFER NOT TO and yes I get the reference and also no I didn’t buy it because I feared it would be too on the nose.
Once a week I make a quick crumble out of all the fruit they inexplicably stopped eating immediately after they asked me to buy it.

Just handwrote the entire 1st draft of the 1st act of my novel in under 3.5 weeks. Blown away. I’ve always been better pen to page — much more present, less clever, more real, but I haven’t written longform by hand since high school. Shouldn’t have stopped writing fiction by hand & now I never will.
