Yea, I also really hated the Rampage weapons. We can only hope they won't continue this into the DLC.
coming back to Monster Hunter Wilds just to see that on top of Artian weapons (which I didn't look into at the time really) we now have Gogmartian weapons (which only confuses me more)....
I wish we could just go back to having a variety of weapons from different monster being equally viable....
