So, as part of research for a project on the site, I am going through different sports broadcasts and, boy howdy, I know this isn't new, but auto-translated/dubbed videos are horrifying to listen to.

Yep! I am using the US innings for testing purposes specifically for that over, in terms of being able to have to prep the intake system for different random variables/scoring notations. Cricinfo has it 1w 1 1 4 6 7nb 6 0, Willow has it as Wd 1 1 4 6 N6 6 0, both have it at 26 runs for the over.
So, I thought about this and spent [redacted] hours figuring things out and I think this is the (basically) way forward.
Fun fact: tinkering with this made me realize that the plug-in I use is customizable down to individual data points.

This is what the raw data looks like (in this case, for the USA score in the same match). There are also other issues, like, tracking Lbs, NBs and Wds, but I just have them (and wickets, which work with the -1 to make that little tail) on a straight VLOOKUP conversion to a number right now.

Yeah, it would look something like this (I've added a non-white background for the sake of visibility for the "naked" over.) The color being associated with the ball in the over seemed like the best way to handle it tracking, though it obviously leaves the problem of visualizing the dot balls.
WIP, especially w/r/t the color situation, but finding 🏏 to be fun to do data viz with.
