This has been so interesting to me. As a granddaughter of Hungarian refugees it's shocking I had not looked into it more. As a kid we would go to the Oct celebration to eat or dance and the adults would talk but I only vaguely got it. My Nagymamas story of how they escaped has always stuck with me.
