as a genderfluid pronoun switcher, I also loved how layla's identity evolved thru the story. I don't see a lot of stories that effortlessly change pronouns without causing confusion either due to bad writing or awkwardness (or both). you can tell this story is written with love and understanding.
had the undue pleasure of reading this early and I adored it. please get the physical to enjoy the bonus comic, it's so damn good. reading this reminded me of the era of 90s anime, watching it on a small CRT in my family's kitchen up so close I could hear the monitor buzz. the ad is perfect for that

I helped him with advices for the proportions but everything else was made by himself.
I met the kid today and to my surprise he still draws now and then!
So I asked him to draw the dinosaur playing basket-ball again, to see the progresses he made
And wow, look at the evolution!
This makes me so happy
That's why teaching art values is important, AI could never make this happen.

when some people are sad they want to see their blorbo being happy. when I'm sad I want to think of my blorbos being barbequed alive
keeping myself alive by thinking about jaekwan going to his high school graduation not expecting anyone to be there for him but toward the end when he looks out into the sea of parents he sees agent grapes sitting there... they lock eyes suddenly and grapes smiles and gives a small wave
at the same time, I was thinking about how, when you know someone for a long time, you know about their tells. agent choi has surely perfected his poker face, but one thing I really enjoyed through part 2 is when other characters observe agent choi and see what soleum doesn't.
while working on this fic, I was thinking a lot about people who have not yet earned the right to behave in certain ways - jaekwan's strictness or uppity behavior, and agent choi's lackadaisical, problem child behavior. in this fic, they're too young for it to be "accepted."
