Beautiful morning for a visit to the Botanics and to sit in the spring sunshine. Visited the Kazakh Pear tree which is probably my favourite tree in the garden.
Went to see Battleship Potemkin with live music from Sink at @filmhouseedinburgh.bsky.social tonight. Must admit I preferred tonight's score rather than the Pet Shop Boys version.
Not a problem, do go ahead.
Fascinating lecture last night from Professor Greg Grandin on the US view of/relationship with Latin America and how it relates to the current crisis in the Middle East @hcaatedinburgh.bsky.social

Spent the morning on the boat with fellow @wolct.bsky.social volunteers clearing litter around the basin at the Shore and Coalie Park. Lovely to have some sunshine and thanks from a few folk passing by.
Thanks Andy, I was on my way to Water of Leith task so couldn't hang around.
Lots of glass on Chancelot path, south of Ferry Road, near Dalmeny Road. Seems like some glass recycling bins have been rolled down slope #edtravcyc @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social
First litter picking session in the dark for me with Edinburgh Trash Club tonight. Two bags collected on my local path followed by a drink at the Dreadnought blethering with lovely folk. A great Tuesday night!
Beautiful early spring morning for a gorse cutting session with Holyrood Park Ranger Service. Spotted a lot of rockrose so hopefully we'll see more Northern Brown Argus over the next couple of years.
Was given some daffodils to celebrate my Name Day, so here's a shout out to all my fellow Davids.
Litter picking session near Fisherrow harbour in Musselburgh this awith @seabirdcentre.bsky.social &

Had a very interesting estate tour of Newhailes House this morning. Fascinating to hear about the history of the estate and the work National Trust for Scotland are planning.
Not yet, haven't quite worked out where it is.
Great to see that my local, the Dreadnought won Edinburgh pub of the year!
Sunshine, rain showers and wind for a circular walk of about 8 miles from Balerno taking in Poet's Glen and Harlaw reservoir. Managed to get out of the wind for lunch which was a nice bonus.

Looking out at the empty stalls from my choir seat before practice tonight at the Usher Hall. Hopefully they'll be full for our Love Music Community Choir concert on 16th March.
Breezy morning for litter picking with @wolct.bsky.social on the Balgreen stretch of the river. One bag of rubbish collected however we didn't manage to get the washing machine out ๐

Beautiful morning for a volunteer session at Lauriston Agroecology Farm. Planting blackberry between the apple trees and then mulching. Enjoyed my coffee in the sunshine afterwards.
Bright and dry(!) morning for litter picking with @wolct.bsky.social on the stretch of the river either side of Gorgie Road. Three bags collected but no unusual find today.
Beautiful cold morning for a walk around the Botanics. So nice to see the snowdrops and the winter aconites in the sunshine.
