Not against making ebikes safer, but given how woefully few laws get passed each year by our state government, I'd rather see the time spent on things like: affordable housing; skyrocketing utilities; the environment; supporting education, homelessness, and food insecurity; and resisting the fed.

Clean energy is the only path forward. We can't wait for the fed to do the right thing, so it's left to states and cities like Somerville to lead the way in the US.

This grant was for fire department security cameras that face out to the public. I’d like to get them these cameras, but I don’t feel that it’s appropriate (esp. these days) to have them feeding into BRIC.
While this is definitely something to be excited about, I was disappointed to learn that this doesn’t mean electrifying parts of the commuter rail currently served by diesel.
