You should move to Perth Western Australia. East Coast NBA games start at 8am, which is perfect. West Coast games finish about 1pm, which on weekends rolls in nicely to when the Australian sports start. Also we have the most sunshine, perfect beaches and don’t have masked goons murdering us.

I thought Vic was good today. At worst he is a genuine hold-up forward and outlet for a long ball. Our first goal came from a corner earned from the type of bustling physicality that no other forward can provide. It’s great to have Jesus and Kai coming back but our structure is better with Vic.
If the fixture was fair I’d be against this. But it’s not, and so I don’t mind the idea of teams 7-10 deciding who is more deserving of playing finals by actually playing each other, rather than it being decided by who played West Coast (or Tasmania) twice.

Freo’s impressive win against reigning premiers Melbourne at the MCG in Round 11 2022 set up their finals tilt that year. I think the Collingwood game has a similar feel. The exciting thing is I’m convinced Freo have another scoring gear to get to, this year or next.
There are plenty of things wrong with Australia, but we’re blessed with a robust democracy (special shout out for compulsory and majority-preferential instant-runoff voting) and an innate sense for when our potential leaders are dickheads. I couldn’t be prouder right now.

It’s just a personal opinion that wearing camo is a tacky. I think the ADF signed off on it so it’s not ‘wrong’ but people have different levels of comfort conflating people actually risking their lives and people playing footy. For me, wearing part of an army uniform for sport crosses that line.
