I’ve been busy. Working and painting. This is a mixed media painting on birch wood panel. I used gouache,color pencils, acrylic markers, and oil pastels.

My daily drawing challenge for October’s Drawtober/Inktober blah blah blah...
The first is a chrysanthemum simply because they aren't easy for me to draw. The second image is inspired by my love of fungi and fantasy. Mediums used: ink, watercolor, and pencil.

Just a corner of my desk that brings me a little bit of joy.

And still make it look like my style.

People who can create beautiful fully rendered art with acrylic paint markers are amazing. I have this compulsive obsession to blend everything so I get very frustrated with them but I'm determined to master this medium.

Watching Enemy of the State (one of my Will Smith favorites), and I'm thinking about how much we're now surveilled in 2025. This movie aged like fine wine, because we are surveilled in our home, on our phones, our credit card transactions, and we haven't even left the house yet.

I’m trying to figure out what other cute doodles I can add to her imagination totem, since I have some space. I was trying to be inconspicuous while taking this pic, but there is about 5 to 6 inches of blank space left. Any suggestions are welcome.

Same. It's such a pain. I'll be so glad when they finally decide to move on to the Sims 5 or whatever and let us live in peace like the Sims 2 and 3 people get to do.

I've been busy filling up my sketchbook. While I WFH taking calls. #dailydrawing

I find myself missing my childhood and young adult life more and more. The 80’s were a time. Saturday morning cartoons, outside all day during the summer and indoor shopping malls. And don’t get me started on the music. When I was a teen I was a daycare assistant. She had me hooked on soap operas.

I have yet to figure out this app. As much as I want to like this platform it just feels like I’m walking through a hallway of glass rooms where people are having conversations but the doors are closed. I pull on the handles but the doors are locked.

Sketchbook art. Still in training with my new remote job. So once I know the info I just sketch until there is more information to study.

I have been MIA. I started a new job and even though it's remote work, it's been a lot of training six weeks and counting. My body is still getting used to my new normal. No new art other than in my sketchbook. The cool thing is I'm two more paychecks from being out of the whole. So cheers to that.

Also, I follow this woman who showcases her beautifully decorated home. I think my art would make an excellent addition to her decor. I did something I never do. I @ her and linked a painting I thought would great in that space. I’ll keep you guys posted.

I did three murals for a friend of mines in her salon. One of her clients wants a minimalistic version of my art style for her home office. This is what I came up with. I really hope she likes this because I really want to paint this. #procreateart #artmural

Every artist I know is really struggling right now. Financially, emotionally, their confidence, in general.

If you like an artist's work, support them any way you can. Buying their stuff or subscribing to their Patreon is great, but words of encouragement are also incredibly helpful.

It’s hard for me to express in words the cruelty and harm being escalated towards gender nonconforming folks, but while it may seem easier to exist only out of spite please know it’s also important to be gentle to yourself and exist out of love.
