And of course, our sample has a high percentage of international students that would be excluded if we shift to the local language 😓
They are. In fact between 90/93% of the local population is fluent in English, with potentially higher fluency in our target age group. It is more than annoying. It is clearly discriminatory.
It limits communication, demands validation of tasks and questionnaires, limits recruitment, limits the participation of research assistants and my personal participation in the project. As consequence, the communication limitations might affect results. How would you handle this situation?
