The catch?

Air space is closed. There are no flights leaving 10 of the 13 countries.

If you're an American trying to flee Baghdad, there are no commercial for at least 600 miles in any direction. Realistically? Probably more.

If you're trying to evacuate from Amman, Jordan, you have to drive across the Jordanian desert, pass through security at the Israeli border, drive across Israel, pass through security again at the Rafah or Taba border crossings entering Egypt, drive across the Sinai, then get to Cairo International.
