It is hardly an ad hominem when you have literally called someone who knowingly promoted a well documented associate of a convicted child sex offender to a role where they would have political influence, access to power, and state secrets, a "decent fellow".

I like to think that we can expect a slightly higher standard from the Office of Prime Minister than someone who ignores official advice and instead chooses to promote the mate of the world's most famous child sex offender to the UK's most important diplomatic role.
