His collaboration with Chat Pile was one of my favorites from last year. He just recently signed to SubPop. Deserving-- he seems like the nicest guy.

For sure, thanks! Quite a few of those are new to me. I really tried on the Iron and Wine (first single was great), but I just couldn't get into the album as a whole. His stripped down early stuff is some of my favorite music ever.
Ha! Yeah, NewDad is another one I've listened to here and there.
2026 hasn't offered me anything to get excited about yet. I wanted to like the new "Nothing" album, but it's just not clicking for me yet. I'll keep an eye on what you're playing for recommendations 👍
This band and Band of Horses stem from Carissa's Wierd. I was just playing a compilation of theirs the other day (for "C"). They made some great music, but it's considerably more depressing than Grand Archives or Band of Horses.
2025 was a pretty good year for new releases. I'm still going through them and was a little late to this one. It's a great album 👍
