And what a year it has been
Merry Gazoonkamas to all who Gazoonka
"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk
In all seriousness and on a personal note - ouchhhhh this hurtsssss
As I lie in bed having had non-stop back pain for nearly a week, a reminder to please exercise kindness to people with chronic physical and mental health problems as the weather is changing. It can often temporarily exacerbate conditions, including for people like me with implanted metal in my body.
Not infectious β not affected! Check out our latest TB Ed Talk with Dr. Carole Mitnick, where she shares the importance of patient centered care that continues post-TB. Plus a CTA that's right up our alley (spoiler: it involves memes)

Screenshot of the BBC Two television schedule for Tuesday evening on the BBC iPlayer mobile app, QI XL is on at 21:00 and the associated image to the left is of Hank in a brown suit pressing a white buzzer.
On the BBC iPlayer app youβre on the little thumbnail on the schedule!
A VPN should work, but I would hope someone at QI would be able to give you a link (although Iβm not sure if itβs usual practice)?
I feel like I canβt make anything (film wise) because I donβt have the endless money and people power to do it to the absolute best of what I can imagine, so then I feel like I canβt start it because then Iβll βwasteβ the idea? Please tell me Iβm not alone in this, and also what to do about it ππ
A clear day with small Canadian flag in front of an official looking building. "Join the Fight Against Tuberculosis in Canada ~ Thursday September 25, 2025. Register now for a TB advocacy day on Parliament Hill"
We had such a great time at the US #TBHillDay in April we're taking it up north!π¨π¦ Join us for the #LeadOnTB Advocacy Day on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Sept 25, 2025: bit.ly/LeadOnTB
Iβve been on the beta testing for a number of months, it got me through my dissertation, it definitely works!
I say different, but itβs about how and why people choose to consume certain sources of media, so not miles away by any means
Definitely, I should be doing a job next month which is basically that (but a different subject)
I vaguely remember that. Itβs also 10 years since I left primary school this year. Starting September, none of the kids in the high school down the road were there when I was. 5 years of my life, and now in some ways I feel fully gone from the place (but also in some ways like I will never be).
Iβm now looking for work in film/tv/video, particularly documentary work as this was my focus for the last 18 months of my degree. I am also a skilled researcher and have a wide photography portfolio. Happy to work in-person or remotely - if you have anything suitable, send me a message/email!
Today I graduated with a BA (Hons) First Class Degree in Film Production. I also won the Outstanding Dissertation Award for my dissertation on ethical approaches to documentary filmmaking when working with vulnerable contributors.
This is, truly, an astonishing work of genius. To learn (much) more about TB, watch this video.
If you are able to see it, you simply must, and then do everything you can to bring change. It was made with HBO, so please keep an eye out for it.
Iβm now eating, so Iβll share more about other films later!
The other βThe Alabama Solutionβ about the Alabama Department of Corrections and the horrors and crimes taking place inside their prisons. Mostly filmed by the prisoners on illegal cellphones, it shows what a well-resourced cover-up system has previously censored.
I saw two films about the American (in)justice system. One called, βA Perfect Neighbourβ, a sobering message about racism and gun violence, with the story told almost entirely through police bodycam and cctv footage. It is a Netflix production, so should be there at some point.
I have spent this week volunteering at Sheffield Documentary Festival, and seen some truly incredible films. Itβs also helped my clarify some of my own ideas, including a short documentary about TB which I hope to make within the next couple of years!
βThereβs something so interesting observing The Current US Government Situation from the peaceful stability of The Netherlandsβ *sees the current situation of the Dutch government* βOH OKβ
I need to find somewhere in Bruges to watch it! Up the Dons!!
Thing I am excited about for my trip Thursday night edition - the travel cards for Paris are SO COOL, and they use NFC so you can top them up USING YOUR PHONE!!! Why doesnβt London have that for Oyster cards, it would be so much easier!!!!
And yes I do already have the app installed. I am READY.
π (it is a good film though)
Money falling and the US Capitol. "Call your Legislators! Ask them to sign the Dear Colleague Letter. Support funding for Global Health USAID, PEPFAR, and the Global Fund."

I love reading, but I am a slow reader. What a cruel world.
