Honestly the numbers seem pretty even across BC and Ontario when adjusting for the population difference. Seems like neither right-wing Conservative nor left-wing NDP policy is effective here after years of defunding and underfunding health care. I'd say this is argument for a nationwide strategy

I'm all for improving the care for seniors and mental health across the board I just really don't see this as a viable option when they're struggling to deliver the mail on time
So training and hiring workers paid for by the fed gov (not cheap) when health is a provincial responsibility? When we already have a shortage of mental health pros? Seems like grasping at straws. It'd make more sense to fund primary mental health care and enhance what existing providers are doing.
Some of the ideas are better than others. There are some okay ideas but many of them seem to range from unrealistic to just not worth it. For example wellness checks? From people who don't have any mental health training? What happens when they get sucked into a major situation? Seems like a stretch
You'd think that would be a no brainer lol. I agree though, also all upper management deserve at least a pay cut if not outright firing them. Seemed like an easy win to me too but here we are. How about the taxes? Panama papers seem like low hanging fruit lol

Yeah I agree. The unpaid work at AC is unconscionable. More action against the top 1% or even top 5% and their tax evasion is needed. I agree more needs to be done there too. Also, the downloading of costs in health care to the patient needs to be dealt with. How would you deal with these issues?
I support red Tories moving towards the centre away from the far right just as I support NDP supporters who are looking for a real plan that makes sense rather than vague platitudes and an unrealistic wishlist moving towards the centre for their own sanity. It's people like you driving them away.
