You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.

No chance - can't concentrate on them. I have a long list of things that I just will never get to now. Which is annoying.
I’ve been putting off posting this update for as long as possible, in the (it now seems) vain hope that things might improve. However, a number of people have been asking what the current situation is – and rumours seem to be spreading that things are actually worse than they are! Unfortunately, the latest deterioration in my health, since the middle of January, hasn’t just been a blip. As some people know, I had the occasional day at the end of last year when I simply didn’t have the energy to do anything very much at all. Such days are, annoyingly, now becoming more frequent, and all I can do is little more than lie and listen to music, which may seem like a lovely thing to be doing, but trust me, it palls after the sixth or seventh hour… I am still able to get out (with more help than before, given I tire more easily) thanks to Joe, Kate, Alice, Isabelle and Claire, and I’ve increased the visits from my carer Mary, whose help has been invaluable since I moved into the flat. Although I’d hoped that I’d “bounce back” to where I was in the immediate aftermath of the move here, that’s clearly not going to be the case. I still very much want to see people – whether in person or on Zoom – but I’m no longer able to do that for as long, and I may need to cancel at short notice… but please do stay in touch!
An update on my current health situation:

At 4pm on Saturday the 7th, BBC Radio 4 Extra are re-broadcast my adaptation of Iain M. Banks’ ‘The State of the Art’ starring the late Sir Antony Sher as the ship. So pleased that’s going to be out there again.

Very odd - but then we got loads of tie-in stuff sent over for shows hardly known here, if at all!
As with old DWs, I have the books here if you need stuff checked
Are you sure there was a Corgi edition over here in 1967 for a show that wasn't on TV?
IIRC I think she was writing a lot of the first drafts of the later adaptations anyway?
Which isn't too surprising, as the books were continuing to come out
