If your favorite guide doesn’t fight for the protection of the natural resources they exploit for profit and pleasure, it’s time to find a new guide. CFCW is a good example of an organization with guides advocating for the restoration of coastal resources. Unfortunately Texas doesn’t have that.

But I agree, if you don’t know what they ingested you need to get to a vet and get xrays. In our case it’s been things that can come back out the way they went in.
This is for emergency field care only if you know what your dog has ingested. Many sporting dog vets still recommend this and I have consulted quite a few on the topic.

Dog field medicine tip: 1 tsp of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 20lbs of dog ingested is enough to induce vomiting. The big dog ate a gauze dressing that was on her foot this morning and we had to make sure it didn’t become a bowel obstruction. Go outside and wait 10-15 minutes after administering.
