ah thanks that means a lot <3!! and i definitely agree that it's normal for someone to read just one book a month if that. it's just so easy to compare myself to people online who can read a book in a day and think i'm falling short. but yep it shouldn't be about that.

sometimes i feel bad about the fact that i'm a slow reader and that i'm reading a couple of books a month. and like i do want to read more, but also i think it sucks that the internet has made me feel like i'm doing my hobby wrong because i'm not reading 10 books in a month.

cinema trip on a weekday afternoon my beloved <3

okay so i thinkkk i just finished the first draft of the script for a short film i've been writing. i'm new to screenwriting so i need to work on the formatting and, of course, polishing it. but i'm really optimistic about where i'm at right now!!

i've never really been into popcorn other than to get popcorn buckets. like i hate those little bits in the popcorn that are really sharp and unpleasant. but i suppose it'd be cool to 'get into' popcorn, so to speak. in that i'd love to go to the cinema, watch a fun movie and eat some warm popcorn.

like not to psychoanalyse my cinema habits and talk more about me pissing but it 100% stemmed from when i went to see avengers endgame at the cinema when i was 13 and i drank a 500ml bottle of dr pepper during the first half an hour and so i spent the remaining two and a half hours dying for a piss.

i really don't care for having snacks at the cinema, and i've been kinda averse to bringing any drinks with me because i get really on-edge about the idea of needing a piss midway through a film. but lately i've been bringing iced coffee with me and i've been loving it as a little ritual.

in february i only watched five movies and in january i only watched eleven movies so this month i'm gonna try to make up for that and make more of an effort to watch movies, especially since i'm not working much in the next few weeks.

my co-workers are ragebaiting me so much because genuinely why aren't they keeping the same book/books of the same author/books of the same genre next to each other. like sure it's a retail job so i get not caring but a lot of the people at work are readers so how can you let it look like that fr.

i tried googling it but i couldn't find anything to suggest either way, so i'm wondering if anyone has any insight. and like sorry if i am being an idiot or reading too much into it. i was just really confused by it.

okay so i saw these stickers up in my town which read 'proud TBA biological man proud TBA biological woman'. (or maybe it was 'biological male/female', but i don't remember). and like... maybe i'm being dense but i honestly can't tell if it's supposed to be TERFy or pro-trans.

i forgot how anxious coffee makes me. today, i had a black coffee and like three ice lattes. and, now i'm sitting in bed feeling really anxious for no reason. i thought my tolerance for coffee/caffeine was growing but nope i need to draw the line at three cups a day, it seems.

okay so i thinkkk i'm gonna save up for a kobo clara colour. i assume it's also worth saving up for a sleep case, too. unless anyone replies to this post with any words of warning. but from my research it seems like it'd get the job done. #booksky

odds are if i do buy an ereader i won't buy a kindle because, y'know, amazon. but if anyone has any anecdotal advice to offer please, do tell. (tagging #booksky with hopes that some of you will have some insight)

i'm not too familiar with how ereaders work nor the different brands out there (besides kindle and kobo) but ideally i'd be able to find one that would allow me to read ebooks borrowed from my library. i'll have to research it further.

i'm considering buying some kind of ereader because i don't have sufficient space in my room to solely keep buying physical books, as much as i prefer reading physical books. i would just use my phone or laptop but i can't focus on reading on either of them because of my impulse to scroll.

i need to buy a new laptop charger smh

like i did have some sympathy for her because it was her first job and maybe it's not as obvious as i think it is that you don't do a refund for yourself, especially without anyone present. but idk i think it really sucks that she's lied about basically all of us.

apparently everyone she's named is probably going to have to be interviewed by the area manager (more as a formality, because the area manager thinks it's BS that she's been allowed to appeal).
