Whats noteworthy is that the Manhattan bridge trips did not decline. These are *new trips* that would have previously been Ubers or non-trips that are now taking place on bikes.
I have a seen a huge increase in people - across all demographic categories - walk on a mostly empty train and plop down in seat 2 (and stay there!), which I find to be deeply antisocial behavior
I have this on CD lol - it’s called “galactic funk”

My take on the "real Americans" discourse is that if you want to see the greatest and most representative cross section of real Americans anywhere in the country, pick a random weekday and go to the Costco in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
The next mayor should extend the Fourth Ave. bike lane to Cannonball Park.

Thank you to everyone who came out for a Citi Bike victory lap around Bay Ridge yesterday!
Worth doing a compare/contrast between Cuomo and Hochul on this, and Cuomo does not come out favorably
Kinda wild that Mamdani and Sliwa are the guys who won their primaries and there has been open, nonstop meddling to overturn that will of the voters and install the disgraced former governor and it’s largely being covered like this is perfectly normal shit
Thank you! Also, great news!
So, you wrote “Amtrak is adding back one train NYP-ALB and capping prices at $99”. Is Amtrak capping prices for all NYP-ALB or only the one being added back?
Capping at $99 for all trains from NYP-ALB? Or only the new one?
I once made a passport photo/renewal appointment in Brooklyn, showed up on time and when I got there the they said they didn’t do passport photos at that location. Then why could I book one online?!! Sooo frustrating. AND it was pouring rain.. I had to leave and angry cry a little bit outside.

This house is two blocks from the 77th St. Subway station.
We can’t build apartments here because of the 1978 Special Housing District and 2005 Bloomberg downzoning, so instead a dentist who got rich doing insurance fraud built a mini Versailles.

Good morning to @nyc-dot.bsky.social, who are hard at work improving visibility, extending sidewalks and shortening crossing distances on Marine Ave.

Cuomo’s car parked (illegally) outside union HQ.
I asked a cop nearby if it was parked illegally. He said “yes.”
Why? “Because it got two tickets already”
@citibike might (finally) come to Bay Ridge! But, first, we need your help to make sure neighborhood NIMBYs don't block the expansion plan
Take action to makes sure the planned Citi Bike expansion isn’t blocked or delayed by neighborhood NIMBYs
