I think It's good to let yourself to lay bare some of the "flaws" of your art for yourself. You might not realize what they are until you're finished with your work, but recognizing what you're unsatisfied with is great in of itself. It can mean your perception is improving, which is important.

The choice I make draw with single strokes with full opacity brushes is deliberate. Before it I did the opposite where I'd flurry lines around places I wasn't sure how exactly to draw. I stopped because though it felt like I wasn't getting anything wrong, I wasn't getting anything right either.

I’m getting this premonition that I may become violently sick soon.

I didn't skip on legends arceus though, I liked that game when it came out. And it had very intentional art direction so I could just pretend it was a really good looking game from the wii that they just forgot to release until the year 2022

I think the best thing for me about that pokemon trailer was that the visuals were actually palatable. I ended up skipping the last two pokemon games not because I care about graphics or hate pokemon but because I wanted to have a little self respect, so I was like; no thanks, gamefreak.
