Aesthetic improvements, economic benefits, pedestrian safety, reduction in accidents, reduced crime, and increased sense of community are all positive results that seen in other cities. This can and should be achieved here, and all with minimal impact to total parking count.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the Country Club Plaza in light of recent news of their financial situation.
It is a key landmark in our city and creating a pedestrian space can ensure it continues to be an area where residents can make memories moving on into the 21st century.
