Felt very apt to sit in the cinema for trailers and have the Captain America and RAF ads be the ones in 4DX, the military propaganda do be persistent
Obsessed with the framing where a TV show builds up the story through a different character in each episode. Haunting of Hill House did it perfectly and Paradise is doing it well so far.
If AI is not the Machine from Person of Interest then I think we can scrap it x

Favourite first watches in January as I tried to watch the equivalent of a film a day this month! My letterboxd is @ sherifff 🎬
Anyway turns out I'm a big hit with the classical music crowd at work tonight and I'll take that win
This exercise has made me realise I really need a spring clean of my watchlist and that just about sums up everything in my year
Thank you so much! We are very good friends, and they're both so smart and I'm glad that came across ☺️
Oh my god, tiny mice girlbosses now able to work, play sports, and dance freely
And I don't know how calling six people you don't know "unbelievably smug", doesn't have an air of cruelty, which by the way is on a spectrum and your comparisons are ludicrous. It's been years of seeing comments like this and I'm retiring so I'd finally had enough. Goodbye.
Happily semi-retiring from TV quiz and had to get that off my chest because the people I didn't much like on TV were some of the funniest, charming people irl. It's a humbling Austenian reminder about first impressions and makes snarky comments especially grating.
Not throwing stones, just learned my lesson already about being cruel towards people I only see on screen for a short amount of time. It's a shame the internet made it okay to use your inside voice in a public forum where people can see you insulting them. You say smug, I say idealistic and tired.
I don't care if anyone else responds to you, but someone should. Quiz show contestants are just regular people who aren't media trained. They don't choose the spotlight or think too hard about how they look, they just want to play the game. And yeah I can disagree about insults to me and my friends.
I was worried BlueSky was too nice and a bubble but clearly the subsection of people who love to be horrible to quiz show contestants has migrated over. Yay?
Same shirts as when we were on Jeopardy for the dedicated quiz fans #onlyconnect
