In our study @elife.bsky.social we uncover the mechanism of mPPase inhibition. Over 20x structures to date are in a symmetric form. We use EPR(PELDOR/DEER) and reveal asymmetric binding at the active site while maintaining symmetric conformation at periplasmic site

Exploring combined spin-labeling approach for structural studies of mRNA in the human ribosome
In this study, we investigated the structural variability of mRNA in the human ribosome by comparing two spin-labeling strategies: one involving an mRNA analog
We also use EPR to investigate supramolecular biological objects, such as ribosome-RNA complexes. In our recent work we have compared different spin labeling approaches for the investigation of ribosome-mRNA binding. Turns out, contradictory results may, in fact, be okay!
