Lost Kefin update: Adding in a new Variable Width Font (VWF) has been really helpful, but there's been some issues that have shown up that we have been fixing. Big thanks to the testers and Evedred for fixing the issues!
He basically recently talked about infinity series (also posted his entire infinity series collection) and someone asked him if he regrets the ending.
I don't really trust on what Uchikoshi says nowadays. More than a decade ago he said he would keep things as it is and wouldn't change anything in terms of the ending.
Chiyomaru thankfully isn't at MAGES. anymore (he got a boot). Tbh I don't see them making anything new. If Ever17 managed to get only a lazy remaster (which is the biggest cashcow) I cannot see them putting any effort into R11 remaster
Remember11 as it is now is a complete product. A third chapter simply cannot work (in 2020 they said that the stuff they had for the 3rd chapter is basically unusable) and Nakazawa himself said that making a third route now is basically impossible cause it's hard to live up to the hype.
I don't think we're ever gonna get that. Nakazawa had a chance with the PSP port and he kept things as it is. A few weeks ago he also said on Twitter that he doesn't regret ending the game the way it ended.

Felt sour after all the discourse about AI translation, and wanted to go and do something positive as a mostly retired human translator. So I've decided to resume my dropped Wild ARMs 2 retranslation. Just familiarising myself with the workflow.

("hentai game" is not used in Japanese, but eroge, adult game, 18+ game, seijin-muke game, etc)
The official Sakura Wars Twitter account, which has been pretty much dead for years now went into full active mode since September of the last year, them releasing new merch, new art for the series, etc. and even naming it one of still active franchises.
Except Sega also plans on celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series this year. If you paid attention to what Sega has been doing for awhile now, you'd notice that they definitely plan on revealing something SW related this year.
A new Sakura Wars is actively in development at Sonic Team. That got leaked 2 years ago already.
