We are facing an energy crisis.
Britain is the worst exposed in
Europe with only 2 days gas
supply stored.
If only we had our own gas to
exploit.
Or our own oil.
Or our own coal....
Blame @Ed
Miliband (Allison Pearson on X)
If only we had clean, renewable energy and were not beholden to a dirty, expensive, dangerous commodity that pollutes our environment and is the source of most of our geopolitical woes.

I should think so! Because the most generous interpretation would suggest it was all just a bit of a larf and a grift for this posh little parasite.

I never liked Blair. But his ‘intervention’ this evening will have done Keir Starmer no harm at all.

He should be arrested as soon as he gets back to the UK and interned.

I wouldn’t bet against it. He chases headlines after all. And can’t you just imagine him drawling ‘That was just the biggest nuclear bomb in history. In 1945 they evaporated a city, but this nuclear bomb…. this nuclear bomb evaporated a whole country. It was the most perfect nuclear bomb’.

I imagine Keir Starmer will be absolutely heartbroken after being insulted by such a political, intellectual and moral colossus as Donald Trump.

The flagshaggers have gone awfully quiet of late haven’t they? Is it because they’re queueing outside the Army Recruitment Offices getting ready to take the shilling and do their bit in foreign fields?

And what would these pillars of wisdom do then? It’s so easy to gob off from the sidelines, and chat shit to a pollster when you’re expressing your all important feelings, are not in command of intelligence information and are responsible for the square root of fuck all.

Given the barrage of malicious and petulant criticism from both sides, I could well understand it if Keir Starmer thought ‘fuck the lot of you’ and walked away. Thankfully, he has more integrity and guts, and cares more about our country, than any of his detractors.

I once read that QE1 had an annual bath whether she needed it or not, but I trust you have dispensed pegs for the noses of the toenail clippers.

And just like that, missiles fly, and Gorton and Denton is all but forgotten. And in the coming hours, days and weeks, people will be glad that we are lead by cool-headed, clear-thinking Keir.

I suspect the usual suspects will try…. but I also suspect most of the PLP and membership will realise that this would be foolish for all the reasons you have suggested. The removal of McSweeney didn’t come soon enough to save Gorton, but hopefully it will save Keir.

Extraordinary that in these fractious & divided times, so many of us can unite around the single, simple fact that Matthew Goodwin is an irredeemable twat.

Gorton and Denton.
Just a simple question for Reform:
Does this mean Matt Goodwin is now a ‘Shadow’ MP?

I listened to him interviewed on The Rest Is Politics: He’s as false and vacuous as they come, but knows how drop in key words and phrases to impress those who sang ‘Oh Jeremy Corbyn’. He’d make a half decent Student Union President, but nothing more.

What is happening about Johnson Farage and Rees Mogg working with Bannon and Epstein to bring down May?
I expect to be told. And quickly.

And all the Ministers who used the Covid pandemic to line their pockets, and the pockets of their mates. Johnson (again), Hancock, Sunak…..
And the ones who ignored the science, resulting in thousands of excess deaths. Johnson (yet again), Sunak (again).

Rotherham Council will pay for St George's Day celebrations
Residents say they want to see a more prominent and inclusive celebration of St George’s Day.
All the problems Rotherham has and the Council decide to spend £66,000 on this. But if that’s what Rotherham citizens want, let them stew in their own insular juices. I’m just glad I left.

Well then they’re idiots aren’t they? Stupid, racist idiots who care more about the right to use the word “Paki” than anything else. They deserve contempt rather than compassion. Utter contempt.

It comes with podium, name plate, dummy microphone, smart suit and an idiot.😊
