Between Slay the Spire 2 and Mewgenics, I'm in indie roguelite heaven. I almost want to take a 14 hour flight just so i can play my steam deck the whole time.

So where we ranking Grace among the playable RE protags. I think sheβs really good! Iβd go so far as to put her above Jill even
What a tease
and while the action doesn't hit the stratosphere like RE4's does, it's still very very good. Definitely my favorite since RE2 Remake, and probably my fourth favorite Resident Evil of all time, after REmake, RE2 remake, and RE4.
3. Resident Evil Requiem
I feel like for a long time Capcom has been trying to find this careful balance between horror and action with the RE series since 4, and with Requiem, I feel like they finally hit it. It's the best the survival horror element has been since REmake,
I think if your game is designed to be replayed with multiple playthrus in mind, you gotta have a toggle that skips the cinematically driven bits. The forced slow walks, the scripted hide and seek encounters, vehicle interstitials. Let subsequent playthrus be just about gameplay
Ooh interesting. What eventually made you change that system?
Toph is very cool. Probably not my kind of character, but her combo routes are sick and her moveset fits her character incredibly well. Avatar Legends continues to impress.
We're continuing our playthrough of Reanimal over on

New Review! Well... New review of a not very new game. I reviewed Under Night In-Birth 2, mainly because I think it's one of the best 2D fighting games on the market right now, and it didn't sit right with me that IGN didn't have a review for it. www.ign.com/articles/und...
Seems fair tbh
I interviewed Kenny Omega about the experience of becoming Alex in SF6. I still can't believe I'm writing those words. Kenny's been a longtime favorite wrestler of mine, and to get to talk to him about STREET FIGHTER of all things. I love my job. www.youtube.com/watch?v=61ag...
just about at the end of Resident Evil 9 and I love it. Itβs my favorite of the βnew breedβ of Resident Evil, perfectly nailing the blockbuster action/survival horror split in a way that I have to imagine RE6 dreamed of doing. Check out Tristanβs review

Uhhhh The Eternal Life of Goldman might be something really special. What an introduction.
Everytime I fail a sidequest in Mewgenics:
We're checking out Reanimal! I know very little about this game outside of the fact that its from the Little Nightmares devs, and its supposed to be quite good! Come hang out with me and @phillmreich.bsky.social over on his channel in a few mins! twitch.tv/phillmreich
INDIE GAMING PALATE CLEANSE! Denshattack! rules. It's like someone unearthed a forgotten Dreamcast gem from their dusty attic Sega box. Frenetic pace, clean and cool art, thumping music... train tricks. The OlliOlli fans especially need to have a look. #indiegame #indiegames #indiedev
aw man, i got invited to this. Wish I couldve gone.
There are fighting game command lists in Denshattack lmao
Generational fumble
I wanna beat/play more games from 2026, but Mewgenics and Street Fighter keep occupying all of my free time. It's like im in a whirlpool of cats and throw loops and can't escape.

Oh screw you Grubhub lol
I've hit the genetic jackpot. Now I just gotta get ol' snowbelle home
Another trip around the sun
Definitely willing to give it some more time, but first impressions of Sons of Sparta are that its kind of mid. Combat feels very simple and very *not God of War*, level design is very much standard metroidvania fare without anything in the platforming moveset to really elevate it.
not a small thing! It's a big deal and you worked hard to get there. You're in like the top 12% of street fighter players!
All I'm saying is where the heck is the 2D Devil May Cry called Devil May Cry Sons of Sparda.
