Itβs a strange thing isnβt it because I find it hard to converse with people who have views so different to mine but also realise I canβt understand all peoples views without interaction therefore wonβt understand the general political vibe of the country
Do many of you spend time with people who have vastly different political views?
Itβs like the Brexit ref or Corbyn election. I was shocked by the results because I didnβt know many people who felt differently to me.
Been seeing lots of anti immigration shite in other apps. The usual stealing ours jobs, all young men, should stay in France rubbish. I donβt usually see stuff like this. Reminds me that I live in my own lefty bubble and that we need to mix more to understand the whole populations motives.
We got one on Amazon thinking it would be rubbish, but took the punt, and itβs been the greatest thing in my life.
βThe Government should make building hundreds of thousands of council homes its defining purpose. No other policy, achievable within a Parliament, would have greater social and economic benefitsβ

Wallace and Gromit is one of my favourite things. Trying to think of anything else that makes me proud to be British.
This sounds so interesting! But yes I can see how itβs a little bleak reading a lot horrific stuff consistently
What would you study? If I can do it you deffo can!
Iβm a Lecturer in Nursing. My Masters was Public Health. Doctorate will be around inequalities in healthcare at end of life in deprived areas π₯Έ. I think a break makes it hard to get back to studying!! Struggled getting back in the swing for my masters after working in the NHS for a good while!!

Cat cuddles always help! I did my masters whilst I worked. I think itβs knowing Iβm signing up for 5+ years thatβs making me nervous π«¨
If you get any good suggestions please let me know!!
I considered this then just remember the smell after wearing them for 12 hours on a damp day. Sweat, mould and blood
Loyal boy keeping an eye on me whilst I mark essays #academicsky
Laziest Christmas decorations ever? Yes. Still cute? Yes.π
Congrats Dr John
I always use this quote when I teach my students about social determinants of health
I got 80 essays submitted today π
My institution has moved to more βauthenticβ style assessments. Works well but heavy workload and man power for vivas for hundreds of undergrad students.
I too need to be locked away from all distractions and forced into boredom to be productive
Start my Doctorate in January. Any tips from #academiasky to help me start the right way. Iβll continue to work full time as a senior lecturer as I study π₯΄
She knows you need a break (to adore her). Then you can look at your essays with fresh eyes. Sheβs being considerate..
