I’m soaked. Inside and out.
Turns out my raincoat is just as impermeable to water on the inside as it is on the outside.
So raising your arms to unhook the down pipe just means the entire gutter volume above you runs down the inside of your sleeve, along your arm and back and down your pants.
A blast of heavy rain made me realise one of my gutters was missing a gasket. So I went to fix it.
Any fule kno once you start working on your gutters, you can’t stop until they are all flowing free.
Cleared them, took the down pipes off the walls to unblock them too.

Nothing broken, even my pride.
I went out (my shaded front door) for a Saturday jog and didn’t make it to 15 ft without slipping twice.
It’s not worth the fractured wrist, so I’ve come back in for the exercise bike instead.
