Of course there are generally too many dogs needing homes, the pet trade ties into this as folk keep creating more dogs for profit when so many need adopting, but the fact that rehoming can be difficult doesnβt equal a reason to keep endlessly producing hounds and upholding fox hunting
rather than being euthanised when no longer βusefulβ, or caught in a breeding cycle to keep producing more to be exploited and eventually discarded. Hunt peopleβs lives are so steeped in exploitation & brutality that they genuinely seem incapable of imagining existence without it
Existing hounds ought to be rehomed (either as individuals if possible or in groups for those who canβt be without a pack), and allowed to live out the rest of their natural lives where they are cared for unconditionally, rather than only because they serve a means to an end
last week the hunt claimed sabs are going to be responsible for the death of hounds if hunting comes to a true end up here, but them saying
βWe admit weβll kill all our dogs as soon as we can no longer use them for what we wantβ isnβt the mic-drop moment they seem to think it is
excellent food at Suissi Vegan Kitchen (Glasgow) as always ππ

hilarious scenes on Saturday where the huntsman was so riled up by sabs being present in the field that he came up to me and started telling me that my drawings are shit and then proceeded to throw a handful of biscuits at us

found a newt on the pavement nowhere near water, they were dried up and we thought they were dead but they wriggled slightly after having water poured on them, then after a bit of sun they were moving! we found a body of water and left them near the edge, I hope they make it :β)
Still thinking about this
good luck to all the folk heading out into the field tomorrow π€π¦
