Not that long. I don't remember exactly, but less than a day. Cleanup of dups and junk images, like receipt photos, is an ongoing process.

I had the same situation: Immich in Docker under WSL, but connecting to an SMB drive. It worked okay, but I had problems with the immich server randomly stopping in Docker. I just yesterday migrated the container to my Ubuntu server (on a powerful mini PC. Been working both faster and more stable.

My move to #privacy continues. I finally got Immich fully functional. I moved almost 40000 photos and videos off of the big tech cloud service. And, I didn't sacrifice features. Immich is a well conceived #self-hosting photo manager. immich.app
