In the first, the teams of the EU quantum-computing projects OpenSuperQPlus, Millenion, and SPINUS came together to define a suite of benchmarks to help us assess the development of quantum computers. These benchmarks are developed to be KPIs for the EU Quantum Flagship.

Systematic modulation of charge and spin in graphene nanoribbons on MgO - Nature Communications Precise control of charge and spin states in quantum dots is often challenging. Here, the authors show systematic manipulation of the electron occupation in graphene nanoribbons laying on MgO.

Out in Nat. Commun. Led by David Serrate (Zaragoza) the exp. team shows controlled electron filling in GNRs on ultrathin MgO/Ag(001). Electropositive surface = up to 19 extra electrons! Honoured to contribute some theory.

Although eCAP device is designed only for diagnosis, some of the research outputs of the project will support the roadmap for smart capsules for GI therapeutics by advancing in component development and manufacturing processes for integration and miniaturisation of the electronic system.
