Avalon welcomes Steve Dahle as our new Director of Finance! Before joining Avalon in late 2024, Steve spent 25 years in corporate finance with Ford. Steve joined Avalon because he strongly believes in our mission to build supportive communities as a solution to homelessness.

Avalon mourns the passing of Melvin Parson, a former tenant and board member, and founder of A Brighter Way and We The People Opportunity Farm. Melvin had a huge impact, helping so many returning citizens live their best lives - we will miss your friendship, your inspiration, and your amazing smile.

Thanks to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, we'll be hosting a free vaccine clinic for dogs and cats on Monday, Feb. 2 at Carrot Way. Pet owners who are facing housing insecurity, are seniors, qualify for low-income services or are facing extreme financial hardships are eligible to participate.
