The really cool fact is that the silver tower opposite - which is supposed to be a water feature - has a big control room underneath that’s very cyberpunk. There’s a staircase to the top of the tower too. I’m very lucky to have had the underground tour!

Thinking of precedents. It could be potentially something like the bombing of Yugoslavia (aka Serbia) in 1999. My main instinct is to think - the Pentagon is moving all these assets into the region. Can they walk it back? What is the end goal? What targets if it happens? No boots at all.
Well it’s obviously about Iran but if this is “pressure” then the Pentagon will struggle to de-escalate itself. It’s putting in place a force capable of a sustained air campaign not an overnight attack. At least two carrier strike groups as well. How exactly are the negotiations going?
Really big numbers of US military aircraft moving through (or from) the UK and the rest of Europe heading east at the moment. By one count, 41 fast jets via Lakenheath in a few days. Plus numerous tankers to refuel and also transport C17s, C5s. Biggest deployment in over 20 years perhaps?
