Very informative and part of my issue with cystatin C. It can be great but many treat it as an infallible marker and why? Because we understand its limitations less. Not because it doesn’t have them.
We need to always be thinking about this and educating our colleagues

My hospital got epic and while I love the transition (having only used EPIC before this year) the one thing that makes me irate is that blood pressure meds get listed under the cardiology flow sheet and not the renal flow sheet. #nephrology

Know your Ped Neph History!

In the 1970s, the International Study of Kidney Disease in Children completed a trial where every child (3mo - <16 years) who presented with nephrotic syndrome was biopsied. We still quote these numbers to families today.
