I still think the message would've been a more powerful demonstration of late-stage capitalism if it had been Man Utd who went down last year - an institution so rich it was too big to fail, but so consistently mismanaged until it wasn't

Qualified for t20 World Cup.
Hasn't made a football World Cup since 2014.
I believe this change would even make T10 interesting, having watched an Associate women's T10 tournament where boundaries were infrequent and the aggressive scoring was done more through running between wickets.
Hot take: T20s would be more fun if boundaries' values were halved (shots reaching the boundary on the bounce worth 2 runs, on the full 3), because it would increase emphasis on running between wickets and ground fielding, plus mishits reaching the boundary won't have as much influence on the score.
Yeah, I don't know who tought that volatile first group stage combined with the single round robin Super 8s was a good idea

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I had a great time too! You're undoubtedly a cricket sicko, and the ones who didn't grow up with the game always have the best stories - you were no exception!
More of this from Full Members please, it's not just senior teams you can send to tour your Associate neighbours
If Fatima hadn't already been routinely overlooked by most franchise leagues, I'd say she'd be the biggest victim of IPL-owned Hundred teams not picking Pakistani players

Wouldn't Mahika Gaur be the most recently capped British South Asian player?
(Obviously not taking away that a women's SACA is still very much needed)
I don't know if this is better or worse, but many Aussie Rules commentators can't pronounce Aussie Rules players' names either
Today's ep is with Helen @crystallised-cricket.com who is the WNCL writer for @crickether.com! We talk about her winding journey to cricket obsession, the importance of the WNCL, and how she wound up supporting Australia instead of England.

Thank you! They're not doing a German broadcast for this tournament but I mentioned I know someone who regularly commentates in German for future ones
(I also think there's still a place for the Global Qualifier, like say the top two or three teams in the European Qualifier goes straight to the World Cup, while the next two goes to the Global one)
So many people say that Associate teams deserve more bilateral series against Full Members, but I think the game changer would be if Full Members were made to play in regional qualifiers (e.g. England, unless they win or host a tournament, don't auto qualify and have to beat other European teams).
One of the few things I'll give credit to the ICC for is the increase this year in them offering more non-English commentary options.
