I don’t have access to the show but this character’s wardrobe and stylings remind me of the J’naii a bit.
I’ve always wanted to see more of their stories.

Looking towards the bow of the fan-made “Sparrow” class U.S.S. Vortex in the style of Star Trek: The Original Series. The Captain’s quarters on the starboard side and the combination officer’s mess and conference room on the port. Forward of and adjoining the captain’s quarters is a ready room or captain’s office. A pocket door connects the two. On the port side a senior offer’s workspace connects to the officer’s mess. This space can be converted for various functions. Design & image by AJ Fisher.

I spent time trying to imagine life on a small spaceship.

I took design elements from TOS but also my own: a small lounge (w bathrooms) forward of the bridge, 2 turbo-lifts & a “Command Corridor” to Captain’s quarters & more right off the bridge.

More to come!

To achieve this circular, bridge base shape I cut 24 sections of 2 x 6 (1 1/2” x 5 1/2”) at seven and a half degrees.

I then flipped the board for the 2nd cut to create 15 degree “slices”.

The steps leading up & down will each be 1/2” high and a tread depth of about 5/8” or 3/4”.

You will need to supply your own fire-crackers & mini-rocks lol.

My plan is to ID a basic form that folks can build from home store materials and then customize perhaps over time to their liking.

there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for

The episodes with the Maquis and Ro felt almost cinematic for me. The stakes were high and the emotional investment in the relationship between Ro and Macian was very strong. I get kinda choked up during his death scene.

If I were Paramount I’d focus on the “gaps” in Trek for any new show.

The time-frame from TOS to TMP must’ve been interesting. Uniform changes, ship Refits, etc.

Reverend Jackson visited the University of Oregon in the early 90’s when I was an undergraduate.

Did the Captain live in Japan at some point? The light fixtures evoke shoji screens for me and elsewhere.

“Power Play” with LaForge and Ro in the ceiling offered a unique view from above as well I believe.

The salamander are active in the Little Stump Creek and adjacent pond right now.

I’ve been rehabilitating a small pond on my property to be more wildlife-friendly.

I’ve observed several different species of salamander, newt & frog over the past 9 years. Need to make a list.

I think my favourite aspect of Star Trek: Enterprise was learning more about classic aliens like Tellarites, Andorians and Romulans.

I was thinking of Romulan fixation on birds of prey and it got me wondering:
