[Cosmic Castaway - Luminous]

A personal sigil, created in honor of Sora This shape invokes two primary principles, seen in the upper and lower regions. Beginning with the lower region. This region represents the inner world, that which only Sora can ever know. A flowing shape hooks/pulls inward, a driving line pushes further down into the dark, and most critically an ‘offering’ shape that resides closer to the surface that represents their self discovery. The upper region utilizes an open hand to the left, which represents lives touched. The unknown multitudes that one's energy entwines with but then in turn is something one does not necessarily see. It is not in the core shape because it is an ethereal, invisible element. The other half of the upper shape is that which one -do- know, those of found family and friends. The pack one runs with. This rightward region has an extra flang along the center line that is similar to the ‘offering’ shape in the lower region. This explicitly refers to the way one's most core family supports each other. The give and the take.

An organic, abstract sigil with an animated but melancholic tone. Humans operate on ancient hardware, our instincts guide our every thought, act, and emotion. Can we ever transcend our nature? Would doing so provide an existence that is more valuable than what we have experienced for countless generations? The development of our culture, technology, and society has outstripped our biology at an exponential rate. When will it be too much for the average human to endure? The folly of man is to delude themself into believing they have transcended their roots, when indeed it is from these roots our entire being emerges. Prometheus was punished by the gods for stealing fire and gifting it to man. We have not separated from the natural world, we have simply bent what is natural to our will. All that we make, is nature.

The two biggest lessons I've been learning are: Really seriously don't wash your hair with shampoo too often and you're not brushing it enough

Those tangles are going to come hard and fast, and somehow always be there;;

Abstract artwork depicting the artist’s right hand outstretched toward a burning purple diamond representing their own soul. The hand is decorated with various sigils, the lowest one meaning ‘seeking’. There is a vaguely eye shaped sign above this, flanked by meaningless smaller shapes. Below each finger, at the knuckles, are individual sigils each representing a different way the artist has attempted to achieve contact with their own soul. Various artistic endeavors, physical competition, tactile skills, communion with nature, etc. This section could be expanded massively, but is kept to only five highly abstract sigils for brevity. The sigils at the fingertips simply mean ‘connection’ The piece represents the artist’s struggle to make contact with their inner fire, their true strength. Perhaps there is no way to access this potency, perhaps it is something one only realizes they have achieved after a moment of truly transcendent focus or effort. The fire burns eternal, to touch it is to know clarity, and exquisite agony. Yet we reach, and reach again, for something we very well may never truly touch.

A messy central sigil vaguely similar to Dathamier’s personal [understanding] sign, surrounded by far more complex signs. These outer sigils are more or less visible based both on random chance and the way light pools out from the center sigil. The piece represents the author’s parallel sense of attachment and listlessness within the communities they are a part of. Being valued, being disregarded. Being invited, being excluded. The noise of the community is so loud, so impenetrable, and yet one immerses themself into the pain again and again. Perhaps one day, it will all fit together in perfect harmony.
