Times like these make me so glad my dad had a game for my bros and I as kids that involved giving us each $5 so we could buy our own groceries for the week over summer vacation. The budgeting skills I learned then have saved my ass countless times.

I'm gonna continue to limit my time on social media so I can focus on workwork and writing.

I havent been diagnosed with ADHD or anxiety but I am reasonably sure I tick both boxes. AND I pour a lot of myself into that particular character and story.

OMG this is a great way to describe it. I have one particular book that's from the POV of a character with ADHD and anxiety that I write in 1st person present tense. I wasn't sure WHY I was writing it that way, just that it's the only way that story has worked for my brain. But this seems to fit. :o

Understandable and TBH Dollar Tree and Dollar General are on my list of places to apply. Everywhere in my town has a "must be able to lift 20 lbs regularly" thing but I do know a disabled guy who works at a Dollar Tree. So I know it's possible. I'm just not sure if it'll mess my arms up more or not

Yeah, atm I can only do the one flatting gig. I've got a big backlog of commissions now I owe folks. All that plus groceries & gas doubling in price in the last year has not helped. There aren't any jobs in my town i can do because of my arm problems. None of them called me back before my arm probs

Every company I've heard of that put a Vulture Capitalist in charge has been run into the ground and squeezed for every last penny to enrich the shareholders. Then the dead husks have been tossed aside. It's sad. :c
