Iβve never read a more damning indictment of the military industrial complex.
Cover to adventures of Superman 500
Iβve not come across that Adventures of Superman logo in my journeys and now Iβm nostalgic for something I never knew.
By the time I jumped into DC books it had the same dress as the others.
I am digging this way more than Immortal Thor. That one didnβt click for me the way this one is.

The back half of this run was just as good if not better than what came before. Poor Buddy Baker is put through hell in this comic but it ends so beautifully and poignantly. Good stuff.

Oh god, I always forget about Phantom of the Opera.
Me holding a digital copy of Animal Man 30th Anniversary Edition vol. 1 with my darkened yard in the background.
This is one Iβve wanted to read for years and it didnβt disappoint. I knew about the fourth wall breaking going in but I was not prepared for the level of animal rights activism and I gotta say, the keep politics out of comics crowd? Yβall are a little late. Theyβre baked in friend. Good stuff.
So weird.

I always have the warning of German poet Heinrich Heine in my mind: "Where they burn books, in the end they will burn people."
Me since last year.
Better get that checked out before the next full moon.
You might turn into a Jason.
While far from perfect, I feel like Marvel was really making bold creative strides back then. The '00's were full of wild choices and the House of Ideas really took a chance on new things. They didn't all land, but it was an exciting time to be a fan.
