it really is!

Hi I'm a dinosaur. I'm 32 years old and a CO based artist and award winning author. Also I make the "Better Visuals" SDV Mods. He/Him. π³οΈββ§οΈ π³οΈβπ π―π΅ Links: http://cometkins.carrd.co https://cometkins.com
it really is!
it's related to people refusing to read (usually m/f trad romance) anything where they can't insert themselves into the fpov and for some reason fanfic is getting the blunt end of it rn and like. lol. no
shitty glitter edit also
literally
anybody blaming fanfic for the rise in 1st person pov in trad romance has never read fanfic in their life. they kill you for writing in 1st person on ao3 lmfao
it's one way to hold hands
The Majorscythe art redraw. They're holding hands, in a manner of speaking.

There were a few, but I can only clearly remember one, and I donβt have my notes on me, so maybe that was the most surprising.
Heiden created a plan when ambushed by the necromancers. While I set it up, I was worried it would be seen as too convenient.
One beta reader wrote: βBHA HA HAβ
The Camp Moonmirror loop π¬ I always get so nervous introducing world-breaking lore but it went down really well :3
So far I only have the beta read to go off of, but while I knew people were going to like Henet, I had no idea theyβd be the stand out character. Almost my entire beta read listed them as their favorite character or part of the book.

That Jim the Dragon came in as the favorite side-character of all my beta readers when I have other side-characters I thought were more fun and more sympathetic surprised me.
I do have a warm spot for him and once thought to write a side story from his pov, but didnt know he'd quietly charm everyone

An opinion that makes you a fringe radical in this country is that the life of a person who is not an American citizen is not an abstraction, and is worth just as much as that of an American citizen
None of my releases have gone well. Best I can do is chin up, and keep plugging at it, until I can't anymore.
Still haven't bounced back, honestly! It's pretty disheartening to spend years putting your whole heart into a book and have it go largely unread!
But as with any other setback, what matters most is what I do next. All I can do is try again, and again, and again.
I am insane in the way I am because I run a tight fucking ship and my success metrics are literally to make back my costs
It is absolutely unhinged to be like "THE CRADLE OF ETERNAL NIGHT was a flop because it didn't earn out in 9 months" so I don't consider it a flop like at all
i did the math and rather than 1200 words a day i need to write 1287 words a day if i spread everything out and that's fine i think
wrote Some while i was gone but i was too tired 2/4 days. we'll just have to up our daily minimum i guess
I'm still genuinely shocked the inventory zine has so few downloads considering it's free and fully illustrated. All the pieces in it are taken from a 5 year passion project so it's a bit demoralising that no one seems to care for it.

The BYMMS release has not worked out the way I planned. It was supposed to be published by the end of August and, well. As you can see, it's not published yet. But I'm still working on it, and I still plan to get it out there. So I guess I'm "bouncing back" by just continuing to move forward.
yup. one of my biggest flops of all time sold less than 5 copies and ive mostly had flops since then. it doesn't seem fixable, so ive decided not to worry about "bouncing back" and to just keep writing what i want to.
I worked on two webcomics fully by myself and never finished either. I love comics, but realized that I did not have the time or connections to make an indie webcomic work on my own. The one was a fan comic, but the other was an original story (cont)
Hard to say.
I say Ive never published, but technically, my first erotic novella is on KDP.
Which is a funny story, actually, because when I first released it, I couldn't find it even if I searched my name.
Turns out, I released it only in Australia π€¦ββοΈ
Fixed that, but with no marketing at all...

You take a deep breath, go back to your roots, write small stories to get yourself going again and then build yourself back up, or you stand around being depressed, either way works
Have you ever had a release not work out? How did you bounce back from it? #WritingPrompt
home...
Sometimes you remember your favorite streamer is unfortunately a man (he wasnβt a misogynist or anything he just made an out of pocket cum joke about his Yaoi)
Is it problematic if every time somebody says they have a wife I assume theyβre a lesbian
LOL sorry
Yes Iβm thinking about Lyonel Baratheon again
