On Friday we played a review game in AP Stats. Today we started probability. I was told I was like "a commander giving the troops a feast before sending them into battle." π

I show them the table, just so they've seen it. And then calculator the rest of the way.

Thanks!
... if the program actually exists in the coming months.
Thanks!
Thanks, you too! I'm out of town on spring break so I submitted several days ago. And now I'll forget about it because I've done all I could.
Thank you!
Thank you!

In shock.
This was an interesting experience (that doesn't need to happen again!).

We can use synthetic when there's a positive leading coef. Divide by the zero, then divide out the LC at the end (but not from remainder). Have never tried it with a negative!
The MathMedic Intro to Stats course follows the SPA (Stats & Prob with Applications) book. We've started using it this year and it's good.
When you live in the country and you get a lot of snow... no need to travel to go skiing! (But the walk back up is brutal.)
Snow day here! And I'm guessing tomorrow too. But I'm ready to be back. π
Have a good day, Kathy!
So...
2025 is a perfect square.
My birthday month and day are both perfect squares.
I am currently a perfect square years old.
All of this means that 2025 is going to be better than 2024, right?
Yes! I would be totally fine not leaving the house for 2 weeks (and having no visitors).
Our district policy is 10%.

I like classroom screen. I use it to make my randomized groups. And they have fun backgrounds!
I really like it! It has a lot of fun features. I paid $29 for the year to get some extras but they have a bunch of free stuff too.

I've tried to get the kids up working at the boards at least weekly this year. ClassroomScreen.com makes it so easy to shuffle groups!
Thank you!
Thank you! Sounds like a similar situation. Hoping to be in your shoes in a year!
After 11 days in the hospital, he's heading home!
My school's football team is playing in the state finals tomorrow (4 hrs away!) so we have a weird schedule and I had to adapt what I was going to do in AP Stats. And yet I think I like this approach better! Funny what can happen when we're forced to change.
It's been the kind of Thanksgiving weekend that makes me look forward to getting back to school on Monday.
Eh.
And thanks. Dealing with health issues for hubby. I just want to get through tomorrow so everyone's out of my house.
I'm so thankful for the people I work with. It's been a rough 2 months at home and I've never felt more loved by my colleagues. So happy to be at the school I landed at 23 years ago!
Thankful to @mathmedic.bsky.social for the AP Stats Thanksgiving review/ coloring activity posted! Perfect activity for tomorrow.
