If we show people national passenger train maps from 1920 or streetcar maps from almost any city they'll see how far we've fallen in 100 years. Heck, they're even also rapidly closing Greyhound stations around the country today.

Ilhan Omar: βAs someone who has survived the horrors of war, I know that bombs do not build peace or create stabilityβ
Military strikes will not make us safer; they will inflame tensions & push the region further into chaos β every time we abandon diplomacy, we choose destructionβ
Please! Excited to hear!

Whoa! Is that frame wooden?
Well, gas is expensive, and food is expensive, and weβre doing a war nobody wants, but at least there are no jobs
Alas, how far we have fallen.
A budget is a moral document.
A true American hero! She's singlehandedly trying to save the jobs report.

Get your bike out. Itβs go time.
Oh, and I remember it being absolute chaos riding over that bridge on Titans gamedays! Korean Vets may have been a better option on those days!
Thanks for posting this picture! It's been years since I lived in Nashville and my memory is fading about what it's like to ride over that bridge. I don't have a good recollection of how steep those steepest bits are and how narrow is the riding path. This pic is a useful reference!
I run pure Ubuntu on all my personal non-Apple laptops. These days, the BIOS updates (and all other firmware updates) seamlessly, automatically come down the wire with other software updates! You can also nicely create the bootable USB sticks directly from within Linux.

I was once on a ride where someone had previously managed to f*ck their crank arm by cross-threading their pedal in. As a rough roadside repair, I managed to re-thread (mostly unf*ck) their crank by screwing the pedal in from the inside of the arm. That's the only time I've ever repaired a thread.
Hmm. 5 yo might still be too young, but it would be rad if maybe they want to pilot while you ride in the bucket!!
It's hilarious watching YouTube vids of some dude in a velomobile ripping by a peloton of aero carbon roadies.
Scientific American has updated the figure, now grouped into swimmers, fliers, walkers/runners, and vehicles. A person on a bicycle remains the most efficient way to travel, compared to all forms of biological locomotion and mechanical transport.

Before today, no F-15 had been shot down in more than 35 years β since January 19, 1991, during the Persian Gulf War.
Before today, the U.S. had never had more than one aircraft shot down by friendly fire in a single day, let alone three.

Congrats! Ride and fold safely!
You cannot talk like this about any other minority in America.
And if it was any other presidentβs adviser who said something like this about any other minority, itβd be the instant end of their presidency.
A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nationβs people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.
We mustnβt let this war do so.
