Possible to get used to it, to where you don't feel it ever again. Just do what you did before when you felt sick. There is no pushing past nausea.
I am an example of having zero phantom sense that has gotten *some* sensations built up.
The strongest for me is bites around the back, between the shoulder and neck. Otherwise, forehead touches are the second strongest.
At least I had zero VR motion sickness. Flew in a plane that was upside down.
Not an easy process to do; But its trying to get your mind to recognize a sensation to the visual rather than purely what you feel.
Easiest way to do it is have someone who could mimic the touches to your VR body to your physical body. Otherwise, its a hard road to imagine the feel to the touch.
Valid response to getting hands
Not sure what you do have, if its just desktop or you are stepping into VR. But if you do have a headset? Its *possible* you have (or otherwise can train) phantom touch.
And for some, that sense is quite strong.
Also could hire a better design team that bothers going out to the customers and ask for what they want.

Its something that hides things on avatars on your end. Based on the trust factor of other people's account with their avatars. So its nigh impossible for a brand new account to grab an avatar that has blinding lights on a fast strobe effect.
