A set of 5 Midjourney images laid out unevenly. Image one is a young man behind frosted glass. Image two is a surreal scene where yellow and orange entities dance. Image three is a cinematic image of triplets on a stage with a jellyfish background. Image four is a young man floating in the fog at sunrise. Image 5 is an abstract composition of see through fabrics that express light and movement.
Week 49 Midjourney discards.
A brief essay on AI coding, filmmaking, and how Ari Aster is vibe coding the next Midsommar.
Slightly unhinged, mostly true.

Happy Midjourney accidents.
Okay so I just had a video conference from the plane. What a time to be alive. ✈️
Finding my home either here or on LinkedIn. When I do I’ll probably stop crossposting. But for now:
I miss the old banter, our little collective spark we had online for a while. If you miss it too, I’ve been feeling pretty chatty lately. Let’s reconnect, I want to know what you’re up to.😊💫
I panic, so I start writing. One sentence after the next. The ego hates sequence, because sequence demands logic, and logic exposes illusions. Writing is resistance. A graceful rebellion against my inner tyrant who feeds on the comfort of victimhood.
What do my mother, AI, and Step Brothers have in common? They all make an appearance in this piece. My first article about the ideas in design that keep me up at night and on fire.

If you’d told me a year ago I’d be spending October 2025 learning how to be a standout cyborg not for Halloween I would’ve laughed in your face.
Finished my first article this morning. 🥲
A doodle of two stick figures on a seesaw. One is named input and the other is named output.
I've always wanted to make my own art to illustrate my writing. I'm really good at it. Sorry I've kept this talent hidden from you.

What do you think Labubu fever says about society in this moment in time? Wrong answers welcome but I’d love plausible ones too 🤩

Here’s what chattie says:
What you’re describing—following curiosity toward that frequency—is exactly how people stumble into their real work. You don’t have to know where it leads. You just have to notice when that subtle internal signal hums, and have the decency not to talk yourself out of it.
Shonda Rhimes and Jack Antonoff have at least one thing in common:
An awareness for the chemistry of creativity that’s infectious.
I found unexpected connection between Shonda’s talk about the Humm and the Bleachers interlude Juno that the did in their live album. Consider me inspired. 💫
Looks like I'll be coming to the end of a contract shortly so will have availability for new projects from later this month
Give me a shout if you're on the lookout for frontend dev or design systems work and particularly if you're looking for animations, interactions or anything a bit experimental
Colorful mural with the word Unstoppable written on it.
Came to this meeting down at Google Campus in Madrid. Happy I got to see it before it shuts down in December. I choose to take this as a sign. This place is quite inspiring.
On my way to my first in person meeting as a contractor. I feel business-y.
Hello world.
Ok, fine, that was ChatGPT.
Here for all of it. 🧡
It’s in the music itself, and in the way we connect over it. It’s intentional like when we used to buy physical albums, and ubiquitous so we can have something wholesome in common to talk about.
Just some thoughts while I’m listening to Life of a Showgirl Another instance of delight, loud self-expression and bidding for connection.
The current energy feels different. More like being dragged by the wave. There’s a mix of uncanny valley, looking for escapism, and nostalgia for what we once were. Pop music mirrors that too.

Pop culture at times has been about celebrating the new. That’s when we feel like we’re riding the wave of technology and innovation. There was optimism in music we loved in the 2010s.
