Post memes by you.
You're looking pretty tall for a "totally average woman."

The fact that Ambassador Kell knows how to properly use a napkin in #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye"โฌ๏ธ shows that something is fishy about him. Compare: Kurn in "Sins of the Father"โ๏ธ (ignoring the napkin) and the puzzled Klingons during the dinner scene in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country"โ๏ธ.
Whoa, childhood memory unlocked! At least, I'm pretty sure I had Cannonade back in the day. Probably amongst the last Hot Wheels I bought.
Star Trek The Next Generation scene. Riker and Geordi, in uniforms red and gold, meet at a Enterprise corridor intersection. Riker is *very* tall. You don't always see it, but here facing and compared to Geordi, sheesh he's a tall drink of water. Anyways, his hair's a bit messy. Closed caption reads, "I'm having trouble waking up."

A pair of Pac-Man sleep pants featuring the ghost monsters, Pac-Man, and the words "Game Over" in a maze with dots.
These.
Huh. Those are different from the ones I already have. Thanks.
I liked them well enough at the time, but that was ~35 years ago. My memory is fuzzy. I still have the books, but don't think I've reread them. (Too many other things to read for the first time.) And I'm pretty sure it didn't stick strictly to the game plot.

Cover of Planetfall by Arthur Byron Cover. They reused the game cover art and tried to ride H2G2's coattails. ("In the bestselling tradition of THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXYโข.")
Cover of Stationfall by Arthur Byron Cover. They again reused the game cover art and again tried to ride H2G2's coattails. ("In the tradition of THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXYโข.")
It was also one of the few Infocom games that got a novelization. As did the sequel.

And if you (as in, Ryan's readers because Ryan obviously knows) don't know who Harold Lloyd is, I have a recommendation for you: watch a Harold Lloyd film.
The latest Honorary Unsubscribe: Paul Brainerd was in the right place in the right time to create an industry, which he himself named. Youโve probably used the technology he invented. The story in 5 minutes.
How could you *not* look better two weeks after that?

Still his birthday in my time zone! (Barely!)
I just got the green light from my university to design and teach a class on the rhetoric of parody and pastiche with a focus on the art and music of "Weird Al" Yankovic. I finally get to put all this @alyankovic.bsky.social knowledge to use! :-)
