The morning so far

Anyway, the files have really messed me up. There are too many monsters in the world.

Some of those children are growing up and are very mature and I respect them! But I want to protect their childhood and keep them safe while they figure out the kind of adult they want to become.

I’ve been working to change my nomenclature to refer to any person under 18 as a “child” and group of them as “children.”

To call them teens, underage girl/woman, young man/woman, etc, softens the blow when adults do terrible things to them. They are children.

I had taco salad tonight and shared some lettuce and a tortilla chip bite with my cat. He was very judgmental of my “food” and did not understand why I’d eat that.

Like, no thank you. I don’t need to go to your church once a week to be told how horrible I am. And the only solution is Jesus, says this flyer. What specific good works are your church doing to live life modeled after Jesus’ teachings? Who are you feeding, clothing, and sheltering?

Two men from a local baptist church came to my house yesterday to invite me to their church. I took their flyer, politely declined, and they left.

The flyer was only about how people are all sinners and horrible and the only path to heaven is through this church. How is this an ad? Does it work??

I’ve been watching The West swing (first time watch but may abandon in season 5 because it’s gone off) and am now watching The American President. It’s weird to seen Martin Sheen but as not the prez.

I finally watching Dying for Sex. Holy shit. It was fabulous and beautiful. I am so grateful they had Paula Pell at the end to lighten the final episode.

Went to the Duck game last night and had a blast. I am kinda sad that I missed an RGIII broadcast, though. He’s my absolute fave commentator and has an infectious love of football.

I will give this one another try, and I think that comment was a bit tongue in cheek. But still, it came across as someone that couldn’t empathize with the female experience.

Tried out another podcast that said about the ending of Gosford Park “I don’t know why she [Helen Mirren’s character] is crying. She got away with murder, so it seems like she succeeded.” Fortunately there was a woman on the podcast that explained it.

Tonight, it was pigeons and their sad story.

I bought a very purple sweater dress and had planned to wear it for Thanksgiving… but I absolutely will not be wearing purple that week. Fuskies.
