Good day everybody. Happy Tuesday!
Early here in Myrtle Creek, but I'm awake.
Facebook reminded me of a trip to Bath, England from a couple years back.
Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, a very silly selfie, and a signpost that insisted on being photographed.
I hope your day is fine.

Good day everybody, and happy Monday from Myrtle Creek. It’s 6am and I’m running on not‑much sleep but some very determined coffee.
No big plans today except tackling the cat‑adoption form.
May your week start on the right foot, and may mine start in earnest once the caffeine kicks in.
Xx Gary

It must be a matter of percentages.
They feel they get a return.
It just turns me off.

Good morning from the land of lost hours! Daylight Saving has flung our clocks forward again, which feels very wibbly‑wobbly, timey‑wimey.
One minute it’s 2am, and next the universe shrugs and says, β€œNope, it’s 3am now.”
Happy Sunday, time travelers!

Yesterday I purchased a few used books from an online retailer that specializes in such things. They had a link on their website that offered 15%off my first order if I joined their mailing list. Which I did.
This morning in my inbox I had 9 promotional emails from them.
I removed my name. 🀨

4pm in Oregon and the day has treated me kindly. I got some yard work done, tackled the laundry, and rewarded myself with an extra‑long shower.
Nothing dramatic, just the small satisfactions of a Thursday. I hope your afternoon is unfolding just as gently.

From my Facebook memories of 5th of March, 2023...
In North Wales I saw a black swan. The black swan was native to Australia and a gift was made of mating pairs to Winston Churchill by Sir Philip Sassoon in 1927 and later by the Western Australian government to Elizabeth II when she was young.

I went to bed early and fell asleep quickly, but come 1:00am I'm wide awake.
I do need to get on a "more normal" time schedule.
So good morning European & British friends.
I'll just sit over here.

Picked up rear panniers for the bike today, and suddenly my little two‑wheeled rig feels like it’s ready for real adventures.
Amazing how a couple of bags can turn a simple ride into a proper utility machine. Myrtle Creek errands just got a whole lot easier.

3pm and raining here in Myrtle Creek, so I'm in for the day.
I really don't have anything interesting to say.
Hope you are happy 😊

Apparently I’m in a reinvention phase now. In my seventies. You’d think I’d have cracked the code on this life business by now, but nope… still pushing buttons to see what they do.
At this point I’m basically a software update nobody asked for.
Goodnight everybody. I'd hug you if you'd let me.

It's 10:30 am and 55Β° F. so I'm headed out to explore the community.
I need to check out the local thrift shop.
Talk to you later.

Good morning and happy Sunday.
It’s 7am here in Myrtle Creek, and while Wales celebrates Saint David’s Day, Oregon celebrates… rain.
All day. Every minute. Every hour. I’m calling it a β€œtake it easy” kind of day.
Hope yours unfolds gently and just the way you need.

Why didn’t anyone tell us they were the good old days while we were busy tripping over ourselves to get to the future?
Maybe nostalgia has a strict β€œno spoilers” policy. Or maybe we were too distracted by our own haircuts to notice greatness happening in real time.
Funny how we rushed through it.

Good day everybody, and happy Thursday. It’s 4am in Myrtle Creek and the silence runs deep. Just a lone train whistle out there in the dark. I settle into the stillness of a mostly dark room and let my mind wander into odd corners, mostly good memories. I hope your day is a fine one.
