No big plans today except tackling the cat‑adoption form.

Good morning from the land of lost hours! Daylight Saving has flung our clocks forward again, which feels very wibbly‑wobbly, timey‑wimey.
One minute it’s 2am, and next the universe shrugs and says, “Nope, it’s 3am now.”

Yesterday I purchased a few used books from an online retailer that specializes in such things. They had a link on their website that offered 15%off my first order if I joined their mailing list. Which I did.
This morning in my inbox I had 9 promotional emails from them.
I removed my name. 🤨

4pm in Oregon and the day has treated me kindly. I got some yard work done, tackled the laundry, and rewarded myself with an extra‑long shower.
Nothing dramatic, just the small satisfactions of a Thursday. I hope your afternoon is unfolding just as gently.

In North Wales I saw a black swan. The black swan was native to Australia and a gift was made of mating pairs to Winston Churchill by Sir Philip Sassoon in 1927 and later by the Western Australian government to Elizabeth II when she was young.

I went to bed early and fell asleep quickly, but come 1:00am I'm wide awake.
I do need to get on a "more normal" time schedule.
So good morning European & British friends.
I'll just sit over here.

Picked up rear panniers for the bike today, and suddenly my little two‑wheeled rig feels like it’s ready for real adventures.
Amazing how a couple of bags can turn a simple ride into a proper utility machine. Myrtle Creek errands just got a whole lot easier.

3pm and raining here in Myrtle Creek, so I'm in for the day.
I really don't have anything interesting to say.

Apparently I’m in a reinvention phase now. In my seventies. You’d think I’d have cracked the code on this life business by now, but nope… still pushing buttons to see what they do.
At this point I’m basically a software update nobody asked for.

Why didn’t anyone tell us they were the good old days while we were busy tripping over ourselves to get to the future?
Maybe nostalgia has a strict “no spoilers” policy. Or maybe we were too distracted by our own haircuts to notice greatness happening in real time.
