We are at war #Australia.
It wasn't self defence at all, #auspol.

That's #Bullshit #Propaganda for #Fascism @senatorwong.bsky.social! You should feel DEEP #SHAME!

The architects of Robodebt are still sitting pretty.

The NACC has made two findings of corruption, but those who should shoulder the blame for one of the biggest scandals in Australian history remain unscathed.

Cold comfort to the thousands of people whose lives were destroyed.

The Iranian ladies getting asylum is great.
The ALP using them as props for photo ops is revolting, especially considering:

a) The ALP fully supports what the US/Israel are doing, and
b) The ALP introducing a bill to block temp visa holders from traveling to Australia.

The ALP is vile.

Labor love going "we're not racist!" but then do shit like nothing for helping rising Islamophobia or anti-FN sentiment, or bringing in new laws that would allow them to deny people entry to the country - which, will mostly be brown & black people. #auspol

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.

Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.

reminder that when major party politicians - with great fanfare and white media collusion - criminalise speech and lecture us on social cohesion, their decisions and actions directly correlate with increasing rates of racist violence.

David Shoebridge says the reason Labor is legislating to “shut the door” on 7200 Iranian refugees “on the same day” of granting asylum to the Iranian women’s football team, is so other Iranians don’t “come here & do exactly what the Iranian women’s football team did”💥 #auspol

Larissa Waters asks Penny Wong if Australia is “at war”
Wong “we are engaged in collective self defence…”
Waters “Point of order on relevance, are we at war?”
Wong “I responded by being clear that we are engaged in collective self defence…”
Is that a yes? 🤔 #auspol

After watching this I checked whether "collective self-defence" exists in international law. It does & is defined. However, apparently, it must be "a last resort & proportionate". I query whether Australia's assistance qualifies as "last resort" for the UAE, as opposed to acquiescence to USA

Australia would be signed up to Iran war ‘by deception and stealth’ if military support sent, Shoebridge says Greens senator sounds warning as Labor expected to announce possible defence measures to protect Gulf countries within days

Sending military support would only serve Trump’s interests in the growing Iran war, assistance would mean Australia was legally part of the conflict.

Imagine sending Australians to be slaughtered to appease your rapist felon pedophile friend. What a conman albo turned out to be.

Former spy boss resigns from antisemitism royal commission Dennis Richardson was originally tapped by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in the weeks after the Bondi terror attack to lead a review into the federal government's intelligence and security agencies.

It wasn't to spend more time with his family.
So, why? #auspol

ALP is scared to death of attacks by the nutjobs who write stuff for The Australian, just to make Gina Rinehart happy. They brought down Rudd over this proposed tax and the result has been the worst case of political erectile dysfunction I've ever seen.

"Some of you [poors, minorities] will die, but it's for [utterly pointless, illegal war for rich people] FREEDOM" was definitely a memorable approach.

I mean, it's what they've always *done* but the unabashed "oh yeah, lots of Americans are gonna die for this" was certainly novel.

It's looking increasingly like these guys thought that if they could wreak more death and destruction than the other side then they would be respected as strong powerful men and they would "win" and that would make them big important heroes. Very possibly they had no rationale deeper than that.

Now feels like a good time to remember that Big Oil is the reason why we're still hooked on dirty, dangerous fossil fuels.

The industry's lies have essentially stolen a generation’s worth of time that we could have used to transition to cleaner, safer energy sources.

It’s time for accountability.

Sad to say we'd be better off without it. It's costing us financially and has held out false hope that corrupt people will be held accountable for the damage they have inflicted on vulnerable people.
