Starlings at Ham Wall
A few Starlings yesterday evening at RSPB Ham Wall.
Dreadful position, David Attenborough quoted in one his recent Wildlife in UK 4 part series of films that we are in the lowest 10% in the world of lost wildlife. This is awful!
Great White Egret, yesterday evening at RSPB Ham Wall. Also on way back to car park and approaching darkness saw and heard wedges of geese flying over, 20-30 in each wedge, several of these in just a few minutes, couldn’t se the species but awesome sound.

Kestrel hovering, also saw two Common Cranes flying over the main hide as I arrived, early yesterday evening.

Late evening 26/525, large flock of shoveler’s settling for the night, also a few avocets and a couple of oystercatchers at a quiet Steart Marshes.

Late Sunday evening at Greylake saw and heard my first cuckoo this year, singing from within this tree. Saw the cuckoo about 30 minutes before the video.

Two years ago, I have been advised this is a read bunting male, feeding from the bird feeders in my town house back garden. Stayed for about a week or so, was hoping this was a rare little bunting which a few were around at the time. Still a super bird for my garden!
Minx at Ham Wall, it came from behind, passed next to my feet and was slow in getting camera from my pocket.
